I know I'm breaking the rules already because I'm not a guitarist, but somebody had to get it started! So for you guitarists out there, this is your place to talk about Marshall stacks, Eddie Van Halen and all things guitar.

How many guitarists does it take to change a light bulb?

Five, one to change it and four to say "I can do it faster!"

Sorry, just had to add that one in!

And just so the guitarists know us drummers are just being playful:

How do you know the drum riser is level?

...

The drool is coming out of both corners of the drummer's mouth!

Since Chris has decided to open a new place for "guitarists only" I was wondering if we could have a new forum called "other" or something.
It would be a place to discuss things not drum-related as we have covered alot already, and I'm running out of new ideas to talk about.

Anyway to guitar. Currently been playing guitar for 6 months now. My lil' sister is teaching me.

I know to play a few songs so far:
1. Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of your Life)
2. Sweet Home Alabama
3. Back in Black - ACDC
4. Intro to "Adams Song" - Blink 182
5. Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz, very simple.
6. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

I also play guitar, I think it is a good idea to be able to convey song ideas to the guitarist's(because we all know they are quite dumb wink It is so much easier to be able to play a riff to them than to hum it, because they will end up changing it to something completely different anyway. I own a Yamaha Pacifica geetar and a 100 watt Marshall amp.

I am currently working on Joe Satriani's song "Starry Night" it is coming along slowly.
